I don't know anyone (OK, let's say that I don't know many) in this business who's not doing multiple jobs; if I'm in the middle of trying finish 2 or 3 light plots, I probably can take time to answer one question, but an email asking for 10 answers will probably be put aside until I have time to deal with it...or until I entirely forget about it. ================================= Jeffrey E. I heard about an incident that happened in Winnipeg on the Mama Mia tour and am trying to confirm the details. A google search has produced nothing from the news sources. I'm not looking for info for commercial reasons, I do not do the expert witness thing, but I may know the person involved. Any info would be appreciated. The 20-year-old woman broke both her ankles and a wrist and was in stable condition at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, according to police. Hospital spokeswoman Cindy Whitcome said no further information on her condition was being released. Her name was not made public. Firefighters were sent to help her down but they arrived too late, fire Lt. David Pfeil said. advertisement A witness described seeing the woman climbing into the rafters above the ballpark's right field grandstand. "I don't know how she got up there," Sean Mahoney said, "but I kept yelling for her (to), 'Go back. Go back." Other witnesses said she was in the rafters for some time before she fell. "She sat for at least three songs, just dangling there," said Jaime Whitney. "She was hanging onto the rafters, sitting on a beam. She just fell backwards." Sunday's show was the first on the Stones' new North American tour. It has multiple flavors of cable L620, 100 amp 2p&G, Multi, etc... I went ahead and made symbols for various lengths of various flavors of cable. But now of course I have to make it "fit" to curves and corners and the symbols won't do. Does anyone have any ideas? I like having the static cable lengths on the symbol but I want it to be reactive like when I'm drawing a wall or a polygon. Any Production Elec's out there that have done this? To make matters worse this is for a fright-attraction in an arena and the walls are MAZES. Ideally cable follows the top of walls to get to exit signs and SFX etc... It's mostly a guideline so shops can bid. The Union crew is pretty much gonna just do what they do with some direction from me and my staff. :) -H -- Herrick Goldman Lighting Designer, NYC www.HGLightingDesign.com 917-797-3624 "To the scores of silent alchemists who wreak their joy in darkness and in light bringing magic to life, we bow most humbly. The length of the polylines of each class could be culled and put in a worksheet. The polylines of different classes could be put in class colors if you need. If you need to add a record that holds a lot of different info, scripts could be written to assign the record and/or fill in values in the record. Since you probably need this in a hurry, polylines and classes is probably the way to go, but I would need to know more about what you want to end up with. Let me know more particulars on or off list as you might think is appropriate to anybody else caring. Sam Samuel L. But cable routing is the only time I ever draw a scale drawing and by pencil, just got my bum burned to many times with cad on cable lengths, and don't ask why cause could never figure it out why "it worked on the screen". These days I just give them a hang sheet for everything, no plot, as the hang sheet has everything they need to know except the cable lengths The lengths are my scribble paper if I rented the show. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Herrick Goldman" Subject: Vectorworks power distro symbols > > Hey folks, > > I'm putting together a power distro drawing for a union arena to install. > > It has multiple flavors of cable L620, 100 amp 2p&G, Multi, etc... > > I went ahead and made symbols for various lengths of various flavors of > cable.
