No.  The only long term, and this won't happen in two weeks, damage I've
seen is the dust that fills the holes.  The replacement one we had made
(first one rotted away after 20 years) came with it's own little bag
sewn to the top hem which makes it quite easy to store and hang.

Great story Paul,  I went through the same, except my dad woul take the scrawnt
assed tree from our land, and drill & fill.  Most years the tree had to sit in
the corner.

Subject: HGTV's 'Holiday Windows 2004'

Anyone record the special 'Holiday Windows 2004' on HGTV?  My wife 
wanted to use it for design class, but I deleted it after watching it 
(damn Tivo's convenient, but...).
An interesting show if you caught it.  Mister Nieman-Marcus designer 
needs to hire a TD with shipping experience..
