Clear and White Easter Grass makes the greatest long lasting bubbles ever. If you need real water or real "prop" bubbles build a bucket into the tub..... But the easter grass looks real from the first row........ especially if back and side lite with "whiter" light. Bryan H. Ackler Portland, Oregon ===================================================================== Hello Everybody. I need to have a bathtub of bubbles go on stage. Does anyone know of any tricks for getting a large volume of bubbles with a realatively small volume of water. It would be awfully nice if the bubbles lasted a long time and and if they would not cause the actor sitting in them to break out in hives. Due to the limitations of my space, we will be filling the tub about forty minutes before it is to be used. I would like a fairly quiet way of introducing lots o' bubbles minutes before going onstage. Any suggestions? I was wondering if I could use regular bubblebath with some extra glycerine added to give it some extra oomph? Thank you for your time in this matter. Look at your Grainger or similar industrial supply catalog. They will have available that size stuff in 1000 foot spools. I'd just go with cotton clothesline. Dye it whatever colors you want in a big bucket or trash bin full of cotton dye solution from your costuming folks. This will also leave you with a surplus of cotton clothesline after the show, which can be a good trading material. --Dale ------------------------------ Message-ID: <004b01c523a8$c21b15c0$0600000a [at] BRUTUS> From: "Jon Ares" References: Subject: Re: Detour from Designer SM Relationship Date: Mon, 7 Mar 2005 22:33:36 -0800 > I tell them to take notes during tech and leave them > in the theatre because one never knows when one will > be hit by a bus (a statement I picked up in Undergrad > that fortunately has never come true). ...or the SM and Sound Op will flip and roll their car after curtain on Opening Night.... True story. Last school year, PSM and Sound Op sharing a ride, a ride that went horribly wrong, but luckily, no serious injuries. (Little Honda Civics roll like potato bugs.)
